Coming Soon: Your New Club!

The City Golf Club Toowoomba is proudly embarking on a new chapter with a series of major renovations to its clubhouse facilities, reinforcing its commitment to providing top-tier experiences for members and visitors. The club’s last major renovation was completed in August 2000, and since then, City has continued to enhance its features over time. In early 2023, the club transformed its three function rooms into the state-of-the-art Tabatinga Toowoomba Fun & Social Centre, which has become a thriving hub for a new demographic of patrons.

The first stage of the latest renovations is now underway, focusing on expanding the sports bar and adding a stunning new deck that overlooks the newly designed 18th green by Richard Chamberlain. Set to be completed by early December, this new deck—adorned in the club’s signature beautiful blue and gold colours—will offer the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a drink, and watch golfers finish their rounds on the picturesque green.

Looking ahead, Stage 2 will commence in early 2025, bringing a fresh facelift to Reitano’s Bar & Café and a significant extension on the western side of the clubhouse. This phase will introduce a $2 million Pro-shop and Golf Administration facility on the ground floor, making golfing services more accessible for members and guests. Above this, an expanded Gaming Room will enhance the club’s entertainment options.

Further plans for 2025/2026 include the development of new business ventures in the space below the clubhouse, such as an upgraded members’ club storage and locker rooms, along with a potential health and fitness centre open to both members and the public. These improvements will be paired with ongoing efforts to elevate the course itself, including a recent overhaul of 18 bunkers and the upcoming 2024 Course Improvement Plan, also designed by Richard Chamberlain.

With these exciting renovations set to unfold over the next 18 months, the City Golf Club will continue to evolve, providing a first-class experience for both local golfers and visitors to Toowoomba, all while showcasing the club’s striking blue and gold colours throughout.
